Using PSD mockups
Upload Photoshop mockups as they are — Smart Objects, perspective, warps and the PSD's own shadows.
You don't need Photoshop. Upload the PSD and Setmock finds its Smart Objects, hides the placeholder design and puts yours in its place — following the Smart Object's angle, perspective and warp, with the PSD's shadows and highlights on top.
Choosing the right layer
Setmock picks the most likely Smart Object on its own. If the design lands in the wrong place, choose another layer under Smart Objects detected and click Use as Design Layer.
Layers marked “hidden in PSD” are switched off in Photoshop and are rarely the right one.
No Smart Object in your file yet? See “Turn any photo into a PSD mockup” — it takes about 5 minutes in Photoshop.
If you see a warning
- “Uses Photoshop effects we can't fully reproduce” — some adjustment layers or layer styles look slightly different. For an exact match, export the mockup from Photoshop as a PNG without the design and upload that.
- “Warp preset (Arc, Flag, Bulge…)” — the position and perspective are followed, the preset bend isn't yet. Custom warps are supported.
- “Made with a Photoshop plugin (Mockup Baker)” — the plugin keeps the bend to itself. Use Print look → Surface → Mug / bottle to curve the design.
When you save PSDs in Photoshop, keep “Maximize compatibility” on — Setmock then shows a sharp preview straight away.
